Movie beverages have long been confined to oversized soft drinks and cheap wine. The Everleigh wants to change that.

“It’s a fancy night out anyhow. There’s no reason why we can’t improve food and beverage,” says Zara Young, marketing and communications manager of The Everleigh Group.

From June 17, four of The Everleigh’s single-serve, pre-batched cocktails – the Manhattan, Negroni, Martini and Old Fashioned – will be available at The Astor TheatrePalace Cinema ComoPalace Balwyn and The Kino Cinemas in its recognisable silver-capped glass flasks.

Young and Everleigh owner Michael Madrusan currently serve the “Famous Four” bottled cocktails at The Everleigh and Heartbreaker. While they are available in some other select Melbourne bars and restaurants, this will be the first time you can buy them in a theatre.

The cinema and cocktail combination has an element of luxury, says Young. “Drinking a Negroni while watching the latest blockbuster, you’re sharing in that Hollywood experience.”

From June 13 to 17, get a free Palace movie ticket when you buy one of the “Famous Four” cocktails from The Everleigh at 150–156 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy.

The Everleigh’s bottled cocktails will be available from the aforementioned Palace Cinemas from June 17.
