The glamour of tonight’s Logies red carpet has been a “thrilling” three-month effort, a celebrity stylist has revealed.
Nine Network senior stylist Kate Hastilow was up at 5am today in preparation for today’s 59th Annual Logie Awards.

She said metallics and the 1920s were key trends on the “next-level” carpet tonight.
“Every year it just kicks up a notch,” she said.
“Australia is just as big as England, Paris, New York. The Logies is an amazing platform.”
With three clients - 9NEWS Melbourne weather presenter Livinia Nixon, 9NEWS regional host Jo Hall, and 9NEWS Adelaide presenter Kate Collins - the stylist had “plenty to think about.”
Nixon wore a 1920s-inspired red fringed dress by Melbourne designer Con Ilio, while Hall channelled old Hollywood glamour in Thurley.
Collins wore a bespoke midnight blue gown by South Australian designer, Jamie Sortino.
Aside from her trio of stars, Ms Hastilow said Love Child Star Jessica Marais’ J’Aton Couture gown was her “personal favourite”.
“It was divine in person. The detail, and the construction was so well done.”
Anna Heinrich, in a silver beaded Steven Khalil dress, was also a highlight, she said.
She said most stylists began working with their clients months before the big night.
“We probably started drafting ideas three months out. There was a lot of liaising with designers, and deciding whether it was going to be tailor-made or bought off the rack.
“Once I’d locked the dress, it was time to work out the clutch, then work out the shoes.”
She said her preference for all of her clients was local designers.
“I think it’s important to work with and celebrate local designers. It’s supporting local talent on a nation-wide platform.”
Ms Hastilow said the hair and makeup team was an imperative aspect of getting the red-carpet look picture-perfect.
“That can make or break a look. It can overcook something, or totally bring it together.”
After months of hard work, Ms Hastilow said she was “thrilled” with the final looks of Nixon, Hall, and Collins.
“I’m just so happy. And they were so happy as well.”
