A Melbourne shop owner has asked rapper and designer Kanye West to reimburse her for thousands of dollars in lost business after his pop-up store caused shopping mania.

West’s temporary merchandise store on Brunswick Street in Fitzroy opened on Friday to massive crowds and extended queues.

Hundreds milled around The Life of Pablo store for hours to get their hands on a limited-edition West-branded t-shirts, hooded jumpers, and jackets.

She believes her “old lady” customers were “too intimidated” to fight the large crowds which were drawn to the pop-up shop.

Ms Knightley asked West to send her a cheque to reimburse her for losses.

“For my family it’s our livelihood,” she wrote.

The posted has already been liked more than 2000 times.

The Life of Pablo pop-up shop has since closed after reportedly selling out of all items.
